Birdwatchers can enjoy spotting a variety of species, including warblers and woodpeckers. Guided birding tours are available.
Kentucky Riverwalk Trails is a self-guided interpretive trail that points out features unique to this portion of the Kentucky River valley. Native plants, animals, pre-historic, historic and geological sites are included along the trail routes.
The park offers a variety of boating options for visitors. The Kentucky River borders the park, providing an excellent location for water-based activities. Canoeing and kayaking are popular choices among guests who want to explore the river at their own pace. Boat ramps are available on-site making it easy to launch personal boats into the water as well.
A junior Olympic-size swimming pool features a water slide, misty fountain, children¿s area, and a rain tree! A sand beach is available for sunbathing. While at the pool enjoy your favorite treats from the snack bar!
Open daily Memorial Day - middle of August. Open weekends only from mid-August through Labor Day. Open on Labor Day. Lifeguard-protected.
You can enjoy fishing in the Kentucky River, which is home to catfish, bass and bluegill species. A valid license is required for all anglers over 16 years old. Boat ramps are available for easy water access. Fishing gear isn't provided so bring your own equipment.
